How Does Minocin 100mg MR Capsules

Acne is caused by a build-up of sebum (an oily secretion from the sebaceous glands) and dead skin cells on the skin, which provides germs with food on which to multiply. The excrement from the bacteria clogs the pores, causing irritation, which causes acne. Read more about the causes of acne. Once germs are destroyed, there are no longer any waste products, so the condition fades away. Minocin is a tetracycline antibiotic in a class of medications known as tetracycline antibiotics. This sort of antibiotic targets acne by preventing sebum (a natural oily substance) from growing and spreading within the pores on your skin. It also helps to improve the condition and look of your skin by lowering natural fatty acid production, which can aggravate acne.

Directions

  • Finish all of the capsules, even if your symptoms improve sooner.
  • If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember and then continue with your regular schedule. However, do not take two doses at once.

Ingredients

  • The active ingredient in Minocin MR capsules is minocycline.
  • The inactive ingredients are microcrystalline cellulose, iron oxide yellow, hypromellose, croscarmellose sodium, iron oxide red, titanium dioxide, gelatin, hypromellose phthalate and light liquid paraffin.
